Bountiful Summer Workshop in Sorrento

Join us for a relaxing 6-day retreat in the Italian countryside in celebration of summer’s bountiful harvest, the best local products from our neighbors and farms, and the foods of the Sorrento Peninsula. We will take you from the fertile green fields to the kitchen table, teaching classic techniques and recipes all inspired by the season, when the fields are full of the freshest of fruits, vegetables, and aromatic herbs.
We will cook in the sunshine, have tastings of wines from the Campania region’s best vineyards, and enjoy casual al fresco dining for our lunches and dinners, including picnics and barbecues in the countryside and by the sea. We will fire up the pizza oven to top off the perfect summer’s day—and kick back and relax as we savor the cooking of the fresh Sorrento countryside and the best-ever Neapolitan pizza.
We will explore the area, known as one of the most beautiful destinations in Italy’s south, and meet with our favorite food artisans and producers. We’ll take you on a refreshing hike in the mountainside overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea, boating and swimming in Capri, and for a leisurely stroll through the aromatic lemon and olive groves on a neighborhood farm, where you will learn about the local farming methods, from tree to table. We’ll enjoy a tasting of the products made on the farm, including Sorrento’s renowned lemon liquor (limoncello), organic olive oils, citrus marmalades, and honey. Plus, visit a local dairy farm for a cheese making demonstration and tasting of the area’s best cow’s milk cheeses, including still warm, milky mozzarella. ♥

Immerse yourself in the magical natural setting of the countryside and along the Sorrento Coast, cook and feast like a local, make new friends, and enjoy the tranquility that comes with soaking up the sunshine in life the Italian way.
We will stay in an elegant, beautifully restored farmhouse set on the hills of Sorrento in an oasis of peace and tranquility, with spectacular vistas of the countryside straight down to the Tyrrhenian Sea. Elegantly furnished rooms with private bathrooms and air conditioning.
Our groups are small and intimate, limited to 6-8 participants.
